What is IOLTA?
IOLTA stands for Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts. An IOLTA program exists in every U.S. state, some U.S. territories, and the District of Columbia. Attorneys are required to deposit certain funds they hold for clients and others in IOLTA accounts. The interest income earned on IOLTA accounts is used by IOLTA programs to support the provision of civil legal aid to low-income individuals.
Our Work
The Pennsylvania IOLTA Board’s core work involves monitoring attorney and bank compliance with the IOLTA rules and regulations, managing various revenue streams, and administering robust grants programs.
